No problem at all. We have a 48-hours cancellation policy. This means, if you inform us at least 48-hours prior to your class, you will not be charged for the missed lesson. However, any classes that are cancelled last minute, will be charged at the normal rate. For more details, please refer to our “Terms & Conditions”.
No classes take place on public holidays as announced by the government of Pakistan. For our international clients, we will always send you a reminder a few days before any official holiday. You can find a list of common Pakistan holidays here: https://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/pakistan/
Absolutely! Any classes that you purchase are valid for live classes in Karachi, Pakistan and online. Several of our students switch back and forth between live and online classes.
You will have access to your online classroom for the duration of your course. You can access your classroom not only during your class timings, but anytime – e.g. for review or to do homework.
Currently, we mainly offer classes for children at our language center in Karachi. Upon special request, we may be able to offer an online class for your children, too.
You can pay by credit card (online), paypal, direct bank transfer, Western Union, cheque & cash (for Pakistan only).
We have both female and male teachers. If you have a preference, please let us know during the registration process. We always do our best to honor your requests.
We offer group, semi-private (two students) and private (one student) classes. 90% of our customers prefer to study on their own. This gives you more flexibility in timings, course duration and content.
Yes, of course. Before your first class, we will give you a short introduction to the program and show you how to use the most important functions. The program is easy to use and does not require any specialized skills.

No, we do not use Skype. We use a program called miro. It includes an online whiteboard and a video/audio chat function. It allows for teachers and students to interact in real-time.
Yes! We offer one free, 30-minute trial class for all our courses. Contact us for more information.
Yes. All non-beginner students are required to do a short placement test. In addition, we can do an assessment of your level at the end of your course (or any other time you wish). The assessments are done on the basis of the Common European Framework of References (see our website for more information).
Yes and no. If you would like to learn to read and write in Urdu, we can include that in your course. However, it is not a requirement. For beginner students we usually recommend focusing on listening and speaking first.
Several of our teachers are trained and experienced in teaching according to the Growing Participator Approach (GPA). Upon request, we can design our courses to follow the GPA.
We use a communicative, modern approach to language teaching. The goal of all our lessons is for you to learn to communicative in real-life situations from Day 1. We use a mix of materials, including “Beginning Urdu – A complete guide” (Georgetown University Press), our own Urdu Grammar Workbook (https://urdulearner.com/resources/workbook/) and other materials, that we have developed on our own.
The cost of the classes varies depending on the length of your course, amount of lesson you take per week, number of students in your group, your specific requirements and more. Prices range from around 8 Euros-25 Euros per hour. Contact us to receive your individualized quotation.
This is totally up to you. Some students do 1-week crash courses, others stay with us for several years. You will need to purchase a package of a certain amount of lessons (10,20, 40, 100 etc.). Once your lessons are used up, you can renew your contract if you wish.
Classes usually take place between 8:30am and 7:00pm Pakistani time (GMT+5), Monday-Fridays. Upon special requests classes can take place on the weekends or later in the evening, too.
We offer Urdu classes at our center in Karachi, Pakistan (Bahadurabad, close to Char Minar Chowrangi) and online for students world-wide. In addition, we can also come to your office/home if you live in Karachi (certain conditions apply).
